True God is Peace, in the Bible

True God &
His Children
and Peace
in the Bible

Main reference: Isaiah 9:6-7, Zechariah 9:9-10, Luke 19:30-42

Who is the true God? Who are the children of the true God?

Hosea 6:6 says, “For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.” And verse 3 says, “Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” John 17:3 says, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

Because the true God is peace and love, God’s Son Jesus also proclaimed peace and love, and greeted with “Shalom (Peace).” The devil (one who loves dispute) is dispute itself and therefore declares war. War is neither love nor peace; it is conflict. Anyone who sees and hears but still cannot distinguish is someone with a dead spirit. We are love and peace.  Shalom.  Amen.

Shalom is a Hebrew word, which can be translated to mean peace

  • Prophecy of peace in the bible (Isaiah 9:6-7): Prince of Peace
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.   Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

  • Prophecy of peace in the bible (Zechariah 9:9-10): The Coming King
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.   I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.

  • Fulfillment of Peace in the bible (Luke 19:30-42): Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
“Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.  If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’ ”    Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”   They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.   When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:   “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”  “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”   Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”    “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”    As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.
