Ulsan Shincheonji volunteers members are restoring the flood damage done by typhoon at the Tae Hwa traditional market located in Jung-gu, Ulsan.
 
Ulsan Shincheonji volunteers members are restoring the flood damage done by typhoon at the Tae Hwa traditional market located in Jung-gu, Ulsan.

On the 7th on this month, the Ulsan Shincheonji volunteers started restoration in the Tae Hwa traditional market in Jung-gu, Ulsan where the typhoon Chaba had swept over. Total number of hundred-fifty volunteers participated in the restoration.

The volunteers mainly worked in the areas the flood had hit by carrying water outside out the flooded buildings, sweeping the road, washing and restoring furniture, equipment and dishes. They also helped sorting out and getting rid of food damaged by flood.

Jae Hwa Seo (twenty eight years old) who participated in the volunteer said “I did not know how bad it was until I saw it with my own eyes. Thinking about how it would feel to throw away the damaged fruit you had nourished, I want to come here to help everyday if possible”.

Official from the Ulsan Shincheonji volunteers said “With so much damage done by the typhoon, help from the volunteers was urgent. We hope to be of help with so many people working together. We will do our best in volunteering until the damage becomes completely restored”.

Shincheonji volunteers are
cleaning and restoring the room
that had been flooded by typhoon.
Total of 27 Shincheonji volunteers were mobilized into the flooded traditional market for restoration
 
 
With the request from the 1365 local administration board of the civil council Pohang volunteers center, Shincheonji volunteers of Pohang, Gyeongbuk region performed an emergency restoration aid on the 6th of this month.

On this day, the twenty seven Shincheonji volunteers performed cleaning and restoration volunteering with another five civil groups in the lowland areas located in Jang yang-dong, North Ward where typhoon Chaba had flooded the traditional market and housings.


Shincheonji volunteers are performing an emergency restoration aid in Pohang, Kyeongbuk where it had been severely damaged by the typhoon.


Deteriorated housings were severely damaged; the rooms were flooded with rain. Because it was a region that do not use city gas, briquettes, furniture, beds, home appliances and clothes were lying on the floor altogether.

With a big, caring heart, the Shincheonji volunteers threw themselves into the volunteer work for the victims of the disaster.

Seon Jo Kim, a local administration board of the Pohang civil council, Byeong Han Hwang, the head of North Ward and Bok Jo Kim, the head of Jang yang lavished praise to the volunteers by saying “Shincheonji is the best, they are amazing”.

Cheol Shin, the leader of the Shincheonji volunteers said “I thank our volunteers for participating in helping the locals living in the damaged areas until the very last moment. We will continue to do our best to volunteer according to the intent of chairman: To volunteer works that give life to people, just like the sky invariably gives life to the land by providing light, rain and air”.
