Among the members of the Shincheonji Church, 500 people

from Shincheonji Church, who have recovered

from COVID-19, are donating blood plasma this week.

 

 

 

 

Today is the news of today's main character, Shincheonji people, who is volunteering in the Church of Daegu despite the coronavirus era.

 
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in cooperation with the Korean Red Cross, set up mobile plasma sites to extract blood plasma from 500 congregation members of Shincheonji who have recovered from COVID-19.
 
This represents a 200% uptick in plasma donations in South Korea. Before the mass donation, South Korean officials reported that about 170 people's blood plasma were collected nationwide.
 
In June, 4,000 members of Shincheonji pledged to donate blood plasma. Due to logistical issues, 55 members were able to donate blood plasma before this week.
 
The 500 members' blood plasma will be procured within the week by using blood donation cars that can extract blood in large quantities. This is thought to be the first round of donations.
 
Health officials from the Mayo Clinic and U.S. Food and Drug Administration believe that plasma donations may contribute greatly to the treatment of COVID-19 patients as well as contribute to the research and development of novel immunotherapies.
 
Preliminary results of one trial cited by UpToDate, showed a statistically significant rate of improvement in patients treated with donated plasma compared to those who received standard therapies (91% compared to 68% respectively).
 
The plasma donated by Shincheonji will be used to make similar treatments after clinical trials.

Ulsan Shincheonji volunteers members are restoring the flood damage done by typhoon at the Tae Hwa traditional market located in Jung-gu, Ulsan.
 
Ulsan Shincheonji volunteers members are restoring the flood damage done by typhoon at the Tae Hwa traditional market located in Jung-gu, Ulsan.

On the 7th on this month, the Ulsan Shincheonji volunteers started restoration in the Tae Hwa traditional market in Jung-gu, Ulsan where the typhoon Chaba had swept over. Total number of hundred-fifty volunteers participated in the restoration.

The volunteers mainly worked in the areas the flood had hit by carrying water outside out the flooded buildings, sweeping the road, washing and restoring furniture, equipment and dishes. They also helped sorting out and getting rid of food damaged by flood.

Jae Hwa Seo (twenty eight years old) who participated in the volunteer said “I did not know how bad it was until I saw it with my own eyes. Thinking about how it would feel to throw away the damaged fruit you had nourished, I want to come here to help everyday if possible”.

Official from the Ulsan Shincheonji volunteers said “With so much damage done by the typhoon, help from the volunteers was urgent. We hope to be of help with so many people working together. We will do our best in volunteering until the damage becomes completely restored”.

Total of 27 Shincheonji volunteers were mobilized into the flooded traditional market for restoration

 

 

With the request from the 1365 local administration board of the civil council Pohang volunteers center, Shincheonji volunteers of Pohang, Gyeongbuk region performed an emergency restoration aid on the 6th of this month.

On this day, the twenty seven Shincheonji volunteers performed cleaning and restoration volunteering with another five civil groups in the lowland areas located in Jang yang-dong, North Ward where typhoon Chaba had flooded the traditional market and housings.

Deteriorated housings were severely damaged; the rooms were flooded with rain. Because it was a region that do not use city gas, briquettes, furniture, beds, home appliances and clothes were lying on the floor altogether.

With a big, caring heart, the Shincheonji volunteers threw themselves into the volunteer work for the victims of the disaster.

Seon Jo Kim, a local administration board of the Pohang civil council, Byeong Han Hwang, the head of North Ward and Bok Jo Kim, the head of Jang yang lavished praise to the volunteers by saying “Shincheonji is the best, they are amazing”.

Cheol Shin, the leader of the Shincheonji volunteers said “I thank our volunteers for participating in helping the locals living in the damaged areas until the very last moment. On last 14th, Shincheonji volunteer group from Daegu Nam-gu has come to a onion farm in Gimcheon city to help the farmers to harvest.

After receiving the request from Nam-gu Volunteer Work Center, about 70 people have participated from outstanding volunteer groups in Nam-gu, such as Daegu Shincheonji Volunteer Group, Cheonja Volunteer group, Hosunee Volunteer group, Handasongmoggoji Volunteer group and Saemaeul women group.

Despite of the strong heat of summer, 20 people from Daegu Shincheonji Volunteer Group actively participated in the harvest of onion to help the farmers who were lack of help.

A staff from Nam-gu Volunteer Work Center expressed his gratitude and said, “This volunteer work was designed to help out the farmers who were in difficult situation. And because of Daegu Shincheonji Volunteer Group and other excellent volunteer institutions, we were able to finish the onion harvest.”

Deagu Shincheonji Volunteer Group also does various outreach activities such as, repairing houses and renewing wallpapers for the senior citizens who live alone or who are in financial difficulty, cleaning the Shincheondunchi  and street-gardening for the regional development.

As light met another light

and we in Shincheonji, 

all joined hands,

a sprout emerged.

 

This sprout

became a large tree

laden with fruit.

Shincheonji people have become messengers of peace like Jesus, who was born from the seed of God the Most High.

We walk on the path of volunteerism, the path of light, with peace overflowing in our hearts.

This is the path where light meets another light. We walk this path together with founder (Creator) of Shincheonji — the founder of this volunteer work and peace (refer to Is 52:7, Lk 2:14; 19:38-44). 

This is volunteerism.

Every drop of Jesus’ blood that was shed on the hill of Golgotha is blossoming as a flower of peace.

That was his work of volunteerism.

We, in Shincheonji like Jesus, have received the good seed of heaven and are sowing this seed in every corner of the earth make the flower of peace bloom.

We will live eternally and peacefully in this place where the flower of peace has blossomed, serving our God the Father who will reign for eternity (Rv 19:6).

This is paradise, a heaven created through the seed of peace.

Yes, the seniors here are grateful and they are looking forward for more volunteer services) in the future.
I actually thought that community service day was last week, which was the fourth Tuesday.
But then, they told me that the volunteer work is on the last Tuesdays of the month.
Today, they (disabled) arrived here even before came to the office at 8:10
They told me that they wanted to clean up and set up the chairs by themselves.
All by themselves, without making the public service workers do it for them.
They arranged all the chairs on their own.

They had practiced of love life through blood drive event at last June.

Also, they have practiced of love life that is service spirit through delivered to Happy Dream Silver Town event of 50 blood donor card that they had gathered after last year event.

This day, volunteer of shincheonji played a  role that add fun for participant and audience through face painting, Pungmul (instruments for Korean traditional percussion music) performance and card performance.

Especially, youth card performance that express 'Classy and warm creative city Ulsan' got a lot of appeal to participant and audience

Kang Su-jin leader of volunteer said "I'm glad to we can help the marathon tournament that participate citizen of the world. and we will participate in various events held by Ulsan so become model of society through service and dedication and contribute to the community."

In addition harmony volunteer group provided the foods for the get tired participants to run.

Unnoticed, the surface of a wall of the Jori center for senior citizens became bright just like they are at the height of spring.

The wall paintings are filled with eternal youth and longevity.

It is no exaggeration to say that the wall paintings are embroidered with volunteers' wish for elders' longevity.

Someone whose step is incessant will stop for a moment and attain comfort and happiness before the wall paintings.

Minds of many people nearby are expected to bloom into happiness through the wall paintings of the Jori center for senior citizens.

President of senior citizen rolled up the sleeves with holding the brush and tried to paint murals.

His drawing skill like a famous painter took everyone by surprise.

History of Dugu-dong which president of senior citizen give a talk in person was exciting.

Dugu-dong has been a long history like running water from the foot of a Cheolmasan mountain.    

The president has preserved this site as the third generation.

Dugudong is composed of 7 villages and is surrounded with 270-year-old Muku trees, Chinese hackberries and about 300-year-old Zelkova trees.


They are said to be appointed as protected trees and to be under control of the dong headman.


Trees keeping a watch one site for a long time silently have been considered as a guardian god for elders.


There is a temple called 'Heunbubsa' which has the biggest Buddhist statue among our country is behind the center for senior citizens that serves 54 elders.

The 'Jori' center for senior citizens gives alms to the temple and are served by people from the temple.

They have steadily rendered the volunteer medical service of acupuncture.

The elders delivered the message to always thank Shincheonji volunteers and volunteers from Heungbub temple.

Passion Andrew Church, Shincheonji volunteers differ in culture with foreign friends but we actually agree with volunteering from the bottom of our heart for many people's happiness.

We infused life into the wall using mural and we became tear down a mind wall.

Foreign friends who love our culture think to be proud of Shincheonji Andrew Church Volunteer.

They who is adapting hardly to life in Korea from leaving their home town had beneficial time with volunteers and they thanked the volunteers for being comforted and did valuable work.

Their passion for mural voluntary service was amazing.

They blamed a paint brush at first but they felt mystery because they adapt painting involuntarily.

One of volunteer waited for finishing his mid-team exam, and applied to the voluntary service.
He said that doing the valuable work for people's happiness is a rewarding experience.

Also, when he put color in the mural, he don't do miscellaneous thoughts and be heal naturally because of a good scenery.

Shincheonji true light church Army of volunteers (Manager Gogyungbok) hold the event 'Love world and Share peace' for The 70 anniversary of the National Liberation Day(Gwang bok) in Gangdong-gu ilja mountain park of neighborhood.

This event hold the theme of 'We have a duty that pass down a peaceful world without war to future generations' and long for the reunification of Korea.

Residents attended this peace event experienced culture of 5000 years old history and what is the motive power tied Korean people and Hangul and checked themselves through quiz of 'Writing Hangul correctly' and they prepare the time to look at the spirit and representative people of many fighter for independence in Japanese government.

Subsequently They told the devastating of the Korea war and tasting the food at the time of the war and opened a chapter of experience to generation did not experience war.

True light church officials said "Through this event, I hope they have a mind to thanks to martyr for the country and through the martyr, I hope they spend the time that have love of world" and said"I hope all the citizens see the values recognized the importance the peace"

Donations of this event will be donated to The people of merit of Participation in the Korean war.

Shincheonji Andrew Church Volunteers, People who promise

a true happiness in the world - chapter one last time-

 

We don't know that we have trouble if imagining how villagers and senior citizen center rejoice in  Seeing works created on the wall of center for senior citizen center, A draft plan was filled with all creation of nature including mountain and a red-crested white crane that symbolize longevity.

It seemed to contain the mind to pray for senior citizens' longevity earnestly. 

The wall painting continued to be drawn without drawers knowing time passed by.

In the beginning, their drawing skill were so clumsy as not to catch up with their mind.

Therefore, they are cautious even with a rough sketch. But gradually their painting turned to be elaborate and decisive.

It was just as a life of faith develops.

There was a reliable person who generalized the wall painting nearby them. "Don't pour down paint". "Don't need to adjust to the line sensitively." "Anyone who completed painting?" said the person who became the encouraging art teacher for a day.

The person took care of voluntary supporters kindly with marking on the work completed.   
 
Senior citizen in the center informed workers of the mealtime and workers took a brief rest having luncheon.

It tasted good after their working hard. They prepared for welcoming foreign voluntary supporters who would arrive soon.

Look forward to receiving the 2nd story of service of the wall painting by the voluntary support group from the global Andrew church.

'Dugu-dong', the name of a town made us exciting for going there.

We, Shincheonji, Andrew Tribe Volunteers walked a long time from the Nopo-dong terminal to Dugu-dong.

Shincheonji, Andrew Tribe Volunteers, we felt like, discovered treasure because of founding there with difficulty.

Nature view was unusual from the entrance as I expected.

A dense trees met my eyes first and they are greater forces when stars is very hot.

A cute dog in the senior citizen center was delighted to see volunteers. ☞ this dog^.^*

There were the guests who participated in a wall painting voluntary service first time with Andrew church volunteers.

It is not too easy to do beginning work for them who wanted to do a wall painting.

Trembling and scared of a rough sketch process, they had a hard time of not smooth and stiff painting  than I thought.

Nevertheless their painting with every little stitch in the, looks like serious seemingly.
