  • The form division of the Bible
The Bible is divided into the Old and New Testaments.
The Old Testament consists of 39 books that were recorded by God's prophets before Jesus' first coming. The New testament consists of 27 books recorded by apostles after Jesus' first coming. The Bible, therefore, includes a total of 66 books.

  • The period of the Bible history
The time between Adam and Abraham covers about 2,000 years; another 2,000 years passed between Abraham and Jesus. Now, since it has been approximately 2,000 years since Jesus' first coming, the Bible encompasses about 6,000 years of history.

  • The contents of the Bible
The contents of the Bible can be divided into four categories: history, teachings, prophecy, and fulfillment. Prophecies concern future events. Prophecies are written in figurative language and are always fulfilled according to the logic of betrayal, destruction, and salvation(2 Thess 2:1-3). New Testament prophecies, in particular, use the names of people and places mentioned in the Old Testament figuratively.

The words recorded in the Bible can largely be categorized  into four parts, which are history, moral teachings, prophecy, and fulfillment.

A prophecy is a promise made between God and man. Even if one keeps the commandments found in history and moral teachings, he world not be able to keep what his been fulfilled if he does not know the meaning of the prophecy(promise).

This is why one must know the prophecies and their fulfillment.
