Bible, Old and New Testament

In the Bible,
Old Testament and
New Testament

Matthew testified like this about the birth of Jesus.
Isaiah 7:14, the prophecy of the Old Testament, which refers to the fact that a virgin gave birth to a son, was actually fulfilled.

πŸŽ‚ The birth of Jesus Christ
  • Matthew 1:18-23
18. This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
19.Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
20. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
21. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
22. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
23. "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which means, "God with us."

2,000years ago, John the Apostle saw the fantasy in Chapter 12 and recorded the birth of the child(the one who overcamer) like this.

πŸŽ‚ The birth of a child at the fulfillment of Revelation
  • Revelation 12:1-5
1.A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
2.She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
3.Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads.
4.His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born.
5.She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.

※ And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. (Rev 13:6)

Beginng from the time of Jesus' birth, the world of faith was divided into a physical world and a spiritual world. Before Jesus, the fleshly Israel following Abraham's lineage was God's chosen people, but after Jesus, God's spiritual lineage, the spiritual Israel of the Holy Spirit, became the chosen people. (Refer to John 1:11-13)

The Old Testament is a promise and a record about "Messiah who will come."
The New Testament is a promise and a record about "Messiah who will come again."
So do you, who are reading this article, believe in the promise of Messiah who will come again?
Two thousand years ago, Jesus was the promise pastor that came with the promise of the Old Testament. For God in Jesus has fulfilled his promise to the Old Testament.
  • John 14:10
Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. (※ John 10:30 I and the Father are one.")
Notice here(in New Testament) that Jesus is sending someone at the Second Coming, and also check it in Revelation.
  • John 13:19-20
19 "I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am He. (= John 14:29, 10:30)
20 I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me."
  • John 16:7
But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
Finally, as he promised in the Bible, Jesus sends his messenger in Revelation 22:16.
  • Revelation 22:16
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
And then, the messenger of Jesus ...... He kept bore witness to the word of God and to the testamony of Jesus Christ to all things that he saw.

  • Revelation 1:2
who testifies to everything he saw--that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Did you meet the promised pastor who Jesus sent for the churches today as he said in Rev 22:16, and have you received evidence from him of the words as recorded in Revelation 1:2?

  1. This is true food for the spirit. I'm forever grateful to belong to the promised 12 tribes recorded in Revelation.
