What's the reason Jesus spoke in parables?
God came to Moses to fulfill everything that He had promised through Abraham. In the same manner, God came to Jesus to fulfill everything that He had promised through the Old Testament prophets (Jn 19:30). God and Jesus also promised through parables what they will fulfill in the future. This fulfilled according to God’s word in Psalms 78, “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter hidden things, things from of old.”
In Matthew 13, Jesus stated the reason he spoke in parables; it was to hide the secrets of the kingdom of heaven from the enemies.
