In Revelation chapters 2-3, there is a letter to the messengers of the 7 churches(Revelation 1:20) that they saw as Jesus instructed them, as in Revelation 1:4, 11.
The content reveals the sender (Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Ref Revelation 1:13-16) first and continues his words.
He spoke to the seven churches, and the closing words of the letter to each church close the content of the letter by saying, "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
