Q8) How was the Bible written? What proves that it is God’s word?

A8) God began recording the Bible approximately four thousand years ago during the time of Moses. God made known to Moses the world which existed prior to Moses’ time.

God used people to write the sixty-six books of the Bible on His behalf; therefore, God is the author.

The reason why God made known what is recorded was so that people could come to know and understand the reality of the true God, the devil, and people who have sinned in order to bring people back to God, lead people from what is evil to life and give people salvation.

The contents of the Bible can be generally divided into history, teaching, prophecy, and fulfillment. The following is an explanation that proves the Bible is God’s word.

The Bible is a record of the revelations the prophets received. It is a history book that records what God did in the past.

To say that God’s prophecy, which is recorded inside this history book, was fulfilled accordingly is proof that the Bible is God’s word.
Isaiah 14:24
The LORD Almighty has sworn, "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand

God made a promise (prophecy) to Abraham, and according to that promise he came to Moses 400 years later to fulfill that promise.

Before Jesus appeared, God prophesied about a Savior through the Old Testament prophets. A few hundred years later, according to the promised prophecies, God came to Jesus and fulfilled all the prophecies (John 19:30).

To say something appeared according to prophecy is proof that God and the prophets existed.

What is fulfilled is the promised prophecy.

This prophecy is the revelation the prophets received and recorded and what God gave to the prophets. The one who prophesies and the one who fulfills the prophecy is God.

The people who recorded what they heard and saw from God were the prophets.
ex) Isa 1:1 The vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. :4 Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth! For the LORD has spoken: "I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me.
Jer 1:2 The word of the LORD came to him in the thirteenth year of the reign of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah,:4 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,:9 Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth:15 ...... declares the LORD......
Ezek 2:2 As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.
Dan 10:7  I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; the men with me did not see it, but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid. Hos 1:1 The word of the LORD that came to Hosea
:2 When the LORD began to speak through Hosea, the LORD said to him, Joel 1:1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel son of Pethuel. Amos 1:15  ...... says the LORD.  2:1 This is what the LORD says Obad 1:1 The vision of Obadiah. This is what the Sovereign LORD says about Edom ......
Jon 1:1 The word of the LORD came to Jonah son of Amittai: ......
Mic 1:1 The word of the LORD that came to Micah ......
Nah 1:1 ...... The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
Hab 1:1 The oracle that Habakkuk the prophet received.
Zeph 1:1 The word of the LORD that came to Zephaniah ......
Hag 1:1  ...... the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai ......
Zech 1:1 ...... the word of the LORD came to the prophet Zechariah ......
Mal 1:1 ...... The word of the LORD to Israel through Malachi.

History and the physical fulfillment of the prophecies testify to this.

John 19:30
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Revelation 21:6
He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty, I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
