Now, Two Faced Conversion Pastors, in Korea

😢 Religious Reality, in Korea!!! 😢
'Two Faced Conversion Pastors'

" In a Society of Korea without laws dealing
with coercive religious conversion program
has become a breeding ground
for violent crime, corruption and lawlessness
by forced conversion pastors! "

On 29 December 2017 a woman in her twenties, who had been lobbying for the eradication of coercive conversion and the punishment of the conversion pastors who incite it, was killed while she was being held captive at a secluded recreational lodge in Hwasun, Jeonnam, South Korea. Her parents are believed to be responsible.

The deceased had experienced coercive conversion once before at the hands of a conversion pastor in 2016. She had been abducted, held captive, and made subject to a coercive conversion program for 44 days. After her escape, she began to lobby for the enforcement of "freedom of religion" mandated by the South Korean Constitution. She persisted with this cause up to the moment of her death.

The woman wrote to the Korean President in June last year, asking for the "closure of the Korean Cult Counseling Center, enforcing legal punishment of conversion pastors, and lobbying for the enactment of a law to ban religious discrimi- nation." If this letter had been considered seriously by the President and the judicial authorities, such particular incident in question would never have reoccurred.

The death of the deceased was a result of the typical coercive conversion process: a) the coercive conversion pastor receiving a fee by first inducing fear in the family through allegations such as "your child has fallen into a cult" b) instructing the family to abduct, confine, and restrain the victim; c) proceeding with long-term education by means of slander to alter the victims religious preference.

This is the second "religious murder" after the first incident back in 2007, when a woman in her forties was beaten to death by her ex-husband with a hammer because she refused to participate willingly in a conversion program. This first case, which occurred in Ulsan, South Korea, was also part of the moneymaking schemes of conversion pastors. As a result of the woman's religious preference, fear and anger was planted in the hearts of the family causing them to resort to abduction, confinement, and violence.

Regarding this case, in 2015 a pastor of an established Christian church in South Korea claimed in a certain newspaper that "he could empathize with the position  of the ex-husband who murdered his wife," revealing the inexcusable view that pastors take with regards to the conversion business.

Coercive conversion programmers are designed to make the family of the victim responsible for all illegal actions so that the conversion pastors themselves incur no liability. Families are torn apart and destroyed, while pastors, the initiators of the process, get off scot free.(The conversion pastors cleverly managed to evade the law)

Coercive conversion education is thriving despite Korean citizens being kidnapped, confined, restrained, assaulted, and even killed in flagrant disregard of the law. Things have reached such a head that prominent pastor in the conversion business, Jin, recommended the practice to other pastors because it is "profitable."

What is more regrettable is the fact that the police disregarded the missing persons' report that was filed immediately after the victim was abducted, on the grounds that it was a "religious issue" and a "family issue." In the meantime, she was killed and the police were unaware of her death.

We hereby appeal to the President and the judicial authorities. The citizens of Korea are being exploited for money and killed by the conversion business. Tens of thousands of people live in fear for their lives because of one reason: their faith. Who gave these pastors the authority to confine, shackle, beat, and murder people for their faith? Their disguise is holy and pious but their actions show that they are willing to commit murder to arbitrarily convert people's beliefs. The authorities must face reality and take appropriate action against this practice.

We should thoroughly investigate the recent death and reveal the true facts(the forced conversion pastors who have clevely evaded the law). We should root out the real culprit and cause for destruction of this family. Justice should be served and conversion pastors must be held accountable for their actions. The constant violation of people's universal human right to freedom of religion through abduction, confinement, suffocation and many other forms of physical abuse and violence must come to an end.

To Coercive Conversion Pastors & CCK Politicians

To Coercive Conversion Pastors and Politicians of the CCK~

The Korean government remains silent!

All Christian believers carry out a life of faith based on the Bible.

Where in the Bible does it say to violate human rights and force others into coercive conversion program?

These cults force people into confinement, to take leave of absence, and make them run away from home under the name of conversion and then blame it all on Shincheonji.
Their great sin is thundering in the heavens.

It does not matter if a member of the CCK has political connection; politics and religion must be separate. If politics and religion become one, it results in biased governance, which then results in division among the people. This is why Shincheonji sent letters of plea. (Refer to goo.gl/PMZYNj, goo.gl/e69Sx6)

If they are true believers, if they sincerely love their country and its people, if they pursue justice, then they should not continue in their lies.  Instead, they should keep the law of the heaven, God's word, and the law of the earth, the Constitution.

They must stop creating lies to attack Shinchoenji, the City of Truth, but repent and start heeding to the truth.

Like Jesus, Shincheonji serves its community, work for peace to cease wars, and teaches God's word of truth to many believers. Shincheonji always gives thanks to God and Jesus who gave us the truth and also teachers us to love and bless our neighbors and enemies alike.

Don't live like that!
Don't do such a thing to violate human rights and force others into coercive conversion program!
I hope you to live according to the Bible, like Shincheonji.

120,000 South Koreans Rally
for Punishment of Pastors
for Forced Conversion

The Korean Government Remains Silent......

Protesters demand investigation of a death case of a 25-year-old Korean woman and legislation of a ban on forced conversion.

On January 28, 120,000 citizens in Seoul and major cities of South Korea, gathered to protest against force conversion "education" by Christian pastors and establishment of legal framework on punishment of violent behavior in the name of religion.

Human Rights Association for Forced Conversion (HRAFC), a Korean civil society organization promoting social recognition of human rights violation by religion, held this rally for punishment of Christian pastors who have "consultation" with money and encourage families to kidnap their members who have different religious orientations. Recently, a 25-year-old woman, Ms. Ji In Gu was kidnapped and confined in a pension room and found dead after she was suffocated by her parents.

HRAFC claims that the death is a typical case of forced conversion for the following reasons. First Ms. Gu was out of contact after she told her friends that she would be in family gathering. Second, the pension were she was found dead was reserved for three months. Third, physical violence between Ms. Gu and her parents led to her death while the parents stated that she was suffocated while they were "persuading the daughter".

A fact confirmation statement written by Ms. Soo hyun Go, a victim of forced education,
with her won handwriting and thumbprint says how she had forced conversion
in the name of "education"  If  she wanted Conversion Programs, they, conversion pastors, wouldn't have needed this procedure.  It is necessary to force unwanted education to lock up and teach. If this had been voluntary, such a procedure would not have been nesessary.

Back in July 2016, Ms. Gu had been also taken in a Catholic monastery for 44 days and forced to have "conversion education" by a pastor. She presented a petition on "closure of 'cult consulting agencies', legal punishment to pastors who carry out forced conversion, and establishment of a law banning religious discrimination" to the president through a government website. Until now there has been no official response from the government.

HRAFC explains that this kind of illegal activities are disregarded by the police and authorities because they are "family" or "religious" problems. It further states that illegal actions are usually taken by family members, while pastors who encourage them are behind the net of the law.

South Korea protest against pastors " Violent behaviors including kidnapping, confinement, and attacks cannot be justified in any cases. Punishment against pastors who lead forced conversion and death of citizens is an urgent need to avoid further negative consequences," said Mr. Park, president of HRAFC." The victims of forced conversion exceed 1,000 people, and it is evident that there are more future victims without legal protection and careful attention by citizens is required," he added.

According to HRAFC, forced conversion has been conducted mostly by pastors from the Protestant churches in South Korea to congregation members of religious groups as targets that the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) define as "cult". The CCK is an association group of Protestant churches of Korea with conservative political ideology. Media coverages in South Korea report that forced conversion by the CCK can be seen as a series of controversial issues such as support for Japanese colonialism, military dictatorship in the past and corruption in elections with illegal fund.

The online petition on punishment of forced conversion with 100,000 support was delivered to the Blue House, the residential office of the President of South Korea, but it was deleted on the website. The Blue House has not provided an official statement regarding this matter.

The official position of the protestant churches in South Korea is forced conversion issues are unfounded. They claim that the consultations on "cult issues" are carried out voluntarily by the demands of family members and with agreement by the persons with different religious backgrounds. However, fact confirmation statements by the victims suggest that the agreement of "conversion education" is written by force when they are confined.

In South Korea, the real condition of Education for Forced Conversion by Religious Discrimination

In South Korea raises its voice against religious suppression, but the Korean government remains silent. So I sound the clarion call "Wakey, wakey, Korean the politics and the press in Korea!"

⧫ Dispense with the slander regarding Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which keeps law and order!
Why do the political parties side with CBS and their lies when they should be representing the people?
Media should not accept and air CBS' false reports, but only verified facts!!!

The 200,000 members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus strongly condemn the behavior of CBS and its accompanying political affiliates, and urge the media who posted content haphazardly to do the following.

  • CBS must stop its false reports and slander against Shincheonji Church of Jesus, and immediately apologize to its 200,000 members.
  • As a religious broadcast station, CBS must stop interfering in politics!
  • Politicians who have been blinded by the party change, who have accepted the lies of CBS, must apologize to the 200,000 members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and the citizens of this nation for trampling on their religious freedom and rights!
  • Instead of using connections in politics and media to follow the "Kill Shincheonji Church of Jesus" mindset of CBS and its false reports, media outlets of South Korea must report only the verified truths regarding Shincheonji Church of Jesus!

<False Pastors' Acts of Coercive Conversion Programs,
a Violation of Human Rights, for Monetary Gain>

False pastors' acts of coercive conversion programs destroy families by turning parents against children sleeping pills tape their mouths, handcuff their hands and feet, confiscate their cell phones, confine them in a room, and force them to sign a contract agreeing to receive a coercive conversion program.

The children must take temporary absences from school or work until they are converted, and they are forced to watch videos made to defame the church of new heaven and new earth, Shincheonji. If not converted, they are sent to mental institutions. If they are still not converted, they are banished form their homes.

The parents are then ordered to go to the Church of New Heaven and New Earth(Shincheonji) and protest saying, "Give me back my daughter, give me back my son," and display other misbehaviors. They say such abusive words, cursed, and vulgar language that should not be uttered and commit other evil acts beyond any moral standards. How can they be called people? Parents and children become enemies, and parents are allowing their children become outcasts in society.

This is the act of violence and the vulgar language that instill in the public minds that Shincheonji, new heaven and new earth is a group that has bad influence on society.

Faith is believing in the promise, and this is not done by force.
One cannot help but believe when they perceive the promise.
