| Just like how Israel’s Solomon at the Old Testament Era worshiped gentile gods (1Kgs 11), the Christians in Korea worshiped the emperor of Japan during the era of Japanese colonization. And as pointed out in the 7th Forum by the Korean Christian Media Association (April, 2008), Christian denominations, majority of them Presbyterians, were brought together to support the change in Korean constitution to extend the repeated presidency of the Korean president at the time (year 1969). From this gathering emerged the Christian Council of Korea (year 1989). |
